Killer Zivhu stirs controversy
Zanu pf loyalist Killer Zivhu has come under fire for his latest social media post. Most people are breathing fire over his utterances about the issue of covid 19. In a rather insensitive post, Zivhu urged people to buy their own ventilators at home and if they fall sick, to call a doctor to assist them in the comfort of their own homes. This has been said to be an impossible task given the current economic situation.
Zivhu even went a step further and posted a picture of himself with a ventilator at home. Social media users were quick to dismiss Zivhu for bragging about his wealth when the rest of the population can barely afford basic needs let alone an expensive ventilator. Some branded his words as insulting.
Zivhu is well known for his bootlicking antics as well as hero worship attitude. While he might have garnered a few supporters in the past, this latest post has virtually made him an enemy of most. Some social media users said Zivhu seems to be taking the issue of covid 19 and the manner in which people are dying like flies lightly. One facebook user asked Zivhu whether he was going to provide funds for people to buy the ventilators at home. Others asked him to buy the ventilators and donate to public hospitals that are currently battling to contain the large number of people in need of such services.
Zivhu is no stranger to stirring up controversy. Last year he was lambasted yet again for asking teachers to go back to work and accept their poor salaries. He also offered to slaughter goats for the teachers in his constituency.
Covid 19 has hit the country hard with over 15 000 recorded cases so far. People are dying in large numbers on a daily basis prompting the government to impose a national lockdown. Most companies are no longer fully operational and people are being encouraged to work from home. Among those that have succumbed to the deadly virus is the founder of Impala car rental Thompson Dondo as well as ZBV reporter Janet Munyaka
