Winky D and Uncle Waffles to Headline Pacific Byo Shutdown 9th Edition

Popular dancehall crooner Winky D is set to headline the Pacific Byo Shutdown 9th Edition alongside amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles. The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on April 26 at Queens Sport Ground in Bulawayo.

Renowned for his electrifying performances and chart-topping hits, Winky D continues to be a fan favorite. Earlier this month, he won the prestigious National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) 2025 People’s Choice Award, affirming his immense popularity and talent.

Born Wallace Chirumiko, Winky D recently dropped an extended play (EP) titled Pabho without any prior promotion. The six-track EP features PaTonaz, Siya, Kudhakwa, Fake Love, Zvatanga, and Pabho. Notably, the Siya music video surpassed one million views on YouTube within a week of its release, further cementing his influence in the music industry.

Sharing the stage with Winky D is 24-year-old Uncle Waffles, born Lungelihle Zwane, a Swazi DJ and record producer based in South Africa. She has made a significant mark in the amapiano genre, with Billboard recognizing her as the “princess of amapiano.” Her remarkable dance skills and music productions have garnered her a dedicated fan base, making her one of the most sought-after acts in the genre.

The event will also feature an impressive lineup of artists from both Zimbabwe and South Africa. South African performers include DJ Tira, Emtee, Nasty C, Zee Nxumalo, and Eemoh. Representing Zimbabwe will be Killer T, Asaph, Enzo Ishall, DJ Tamuka, Oriyano, Bazooker, Ash T, DJ Eugy, Prince Eskhosini, Boy Nino, Mzoe 7, and MadeHerBelieve.

Fans eager to attend the event will have different ticket options: US$15 for general admission, US$40 for VIP access, and US$70 for entry into the exclusive VVIP section.

With a star-studded lineup and a night promising unforgettable performances, the Pacific Byo Shutdown 9th Edition is set to be one of the biggest entertainment highlights of the year.
