Marc T Mandisoul Returns from Cannes with Star-Studded Cast for “3 Days in Africa”

Zimbabwean film producer and news anchor Marc T Mandisoul has returned home from the prestigious 78th Cannes Film Festival with exciting news for the global film industry. Mandisoul, known for his previous faith-based success Dunamis, has sealed international agreements with top actors for his upcoming film 3 Days in Africa, a holiday crime thriller set to begin production in Zimbabwe this August.
The deals, finalized during the festival held from May 13 to 24, saw Mandisoul secure performances from Dutch actress and model Ayse Top, Italian rising star Enrico Bresciani, and Zimbabwean actor Munya Chidzonga. The cast also includes well-known Zimbabwean names such as Ed Chamr, Paul Shephard, Nyasha Nhongo, Jermaine Cole Mandisoul, Winter Sky Mandisoul, and Devante Ray Britte.
The film, directed by Mandisoul under his New York-based production house, is already generating international buzz. It is scheduled for a world premiere on February 14, 2026, followed by a global cinematic release and eventual streaming availability.
Ayse Top, who made waves at Cannes not only as an actress but also as a fashion icon, was among the top four international models and actresses at the festival. She graced the red carpet alongside Hollywood elites including Rihanna, Halle Berry, and Tom Cruise, and showcased work by designer Andres Aquino at the Global Short Film Awards Fashion Show. Top’s red carpet moments in designs by Enoka Fashion captured the attention of both fashion and film insiders, further elevating her status as a breakout global star.
In 3 Days in Africa, Top plays Nandipha Khumalo, the daughter of a powerful underground crime boss. Her character faces inner turmoil and external danger as she becomes entangled with Tony Monterro, an Italian movie star portrayed by Bresciani. Their story unfolds at a Zimbabwean resort where Monterro is filming a paranormal movie, only to be drawn into a tangled web of crime, law enforcement, and unexpected romance.
Mandisoul describes the film as a milestone for African cinema and a symbol of cross-continental collaboration. “Ayse Top is making a powerful transition from runway to screen with her role in 3 Days in Africa. This is more than a film – it’s a statement about the value of international storytelling,” he said. Top is currently preparing for her next runway appearance in Paris and a feature at the Venice Film Festival.
Assistant director Adelaide Segan Ganyani expressed his excitement to be part of the production, calling it a dream come true. “This film is an opportunity to showcase Zimbabwean talent and creativity on a global platform. I’m honoured to work with Mandisoul and such a diverse, dynamic team,” he shared.
3 Days in Africa not only promises gripping storytelling but also represents a new wave in African filmmaking – one that leverages global talent, nurtures cultural exchange, and positions the continent at the forefront of cinematic innovation. As anticipation builds, this film is poised to redefine Africa’s role in international cinema, uniting Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, Italy and beyond through the universal language of film.
