Mark Geezo Ignites the Scene with New Single Hemeni

Rising Afrobeats artist Mark Geezo, born Regis Mandangu, has launched his latest single Hemeni, blending amapiano rhythms with Limpopo’s unique Lenkompo sound. The 3-minute 34-second track draws inspiration from Psalm 23:4, serving as a bold statement of faith and resilience.

“Even in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for God is with me,” Geezo explained. “This song is very personal because I have faced many challenges, but God’s favor always came through.”

Recorded in Musina, South Africa, Hemeni was engineered by Hdk. Geezo produced the beat himself, creating a sound that merges spiritual depth with energetic, club-ready appeal.

“This was my first time experimenting with this type of sound, and honestly, I won,” Geezo said. “The response on TikTok and YouTube has been overwhelming. It has opened new doors in South Africa, with artists and producers reaching out for collaborations.”

Within eight days of release, Hemeni has already achieved 3.1K views on YouTube and is gaining momentum on TikTok, iTunes, and Spotify.

The chorus carries a powerful message: “Handina chandokwata, Hemeni. Ndinotemba naro denga, Hemeni,” translating to “There is nothing I fear. I trust Heaven.” Geezo describes the single as a testament to survival and self-belief, wrapped in a rhythm designed to move both body and soul.

Geezo aims to join the ranks of African music powerhouses like Master KG, DJ Hurrican, and Makhadzi. “My vision is to be recognized as a versatile Afrobeats artist who can stand shoulder to shoulder with the continent’s best,” he said.

Hemeni follows the success of his previous hits Liar and Gunvosta, the latter featuring Qounfuzed and achieving nearly 500,000 streams. With Hemeni, Mark Geezo is solidifying his rise as one of Africa’s most promising crossover stars.
