Tinewimbo Dupute Arrives in Philippines to Represent Zimbabwe at Miss Earth 2025

Tinewimbo Dupute, Miss Earth Zimbabwe 2025, has arrived in the Philippines to compete in the prestigious Miss Earth pageant, expressing readiness to represent her country with pride and purpose.

Dupute, 24, is an Actuarial Science graduate and a dedicated environmental advocate. Her platform addresses critical issues such as deforestation, water scarcity, and pollution, emphasizing responsible waste management through the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle.

“I am excited to represent Zimbabwe on the international stage and share my passion for environmental sustainability. I hope to inspire collective action and promote innovative solutions to environmental challenges,” Dupute said.

She highlighted that her participation goes beyond personal achievement. “As I depart for Miss Earth in the Philippines, I no longer walk as just Tinewimbo, I walk as Zimbabwe. I carry with me the strength of a nation that rises with resilience, stands with grace, and believes in the power of purpose,” she added.

The Miss Earth pageant, founded in 2001, promotes environmental awareness and advocacy, encouraging contestants to follow the “5Rs”: Re-think, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Respect. Dupute’s platform aligns closely with this mission, positioning her as a strong contender for the title.

Dupute expressed gratitude to her supporters and sponsors. “Thank you all sincerely for your prayers and well wishes. I’ve arrived safely in the Philippines and am deeply grateful. A heartfelt thank you to Diamond Hotel Philippines for the warm welcome, our incredible Zimbabwe Miss Earth national directors, and our generous sponsors Green Dollar Coin for turning my dreams into a reality,” she said.

The “Silver Anniversary Edition” of Miss Earth 2025 will be held at Okada Manila, Parañaque, Metro Manila, on November 5. This year’s edition features nearly 90 contestants from around the world. The current titleholder is Jessica Lane from Australia, who was crowned in November 2024, becoming the first Australian to win Miss Earth.

Dupute’s participation marks a significant moment for Zimbabwe on the international pageant stage, as she aims to promote a green, dynamic, and courageous image of her country while advocating for environmental protection and sustainable living.
