This month’s Forbes Africa features the much anticipated and their first ever home grown list of 30 entrepreneurs under 30 who are Africa’s future billionaires. Two young Zimbabweans made it on the list; Takunda Chingonzo and Clinton Mutambo.

You might remember Takunda iChnonzo from his interview with President Barack Obama where he discussed how sanctions on the country are affecting youth entrepreneurship. Takunda was recently featured in the Huffington Post as one of only four young Africans you should know. He is the co-founder of NeoEffect, a social start-up working towards the empowerment of underprivileged youth. He’s also the co-founder of Neolab Technology which aims at bringing free internet access to the public. Takunda has also been recognized at DEMO Africa in Nigeria where he won the SWELL award for innovation.

The other Zimbabwean featured in the list, Clinton Mutambo is the founder of Esaja.com, an online Business to Business (B2B) platform that connects businesses to buyers across Africa with the aim of boosting intra-African trade. He has managed to extend his business to more than fifteen countries in Africa.

This is only the beginning of youth entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe. Takunda and Clinton are some of the few young entrepreneurs who have shown that it’s possible and their achievements have paved a way of many to follow.
