Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program 2018 in USA

The Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) at UC Berkeley seeks to strengthen the capacities of new generations of environmental leaders around the world through access to state-of-the-art knowledge, and opportunities for peer learning, networking, and collaboration on a continuing basis.Β  ELP leaders are challenged to meet environmental goals with collaborative solutions that also reduce poverty and social conflict.


  • Access to state-of-the-art knowledge and opportunities for peer learning, networking, and collaboration
  • Eight interdisciplinary workshops are designed to focus on innovation and collaboration
  • Β Participants have access to a wide range of UC Berkeley, San Francisco Bay Area and California resources through faculty and guest lectures, debates, panels, case studies, on-campus labs, and field trips
  • Internationally recognized UCB faculty and researchers are going to conduct the program


  • Leaders working on sustainable agriculture and food systems, natural resource management, environmental policy, climate change and community-based development
  • Proficiency in English to allow full participation in course discussions;
  • A resumΓ© that demonstrates strong professional experience and leadership potential
  • Affiliation with an institution concerned with environmental management/sustainable development
