FC Hudson Valley Appoints Zimbabwean Coach Samkeliso Ncube Ahead of 2025–2026 MLS NEXT Season

FC Hudson Valley has announced the appointment of Zimbabwean coach Samkeliso Paradzai Ncube as its new head coach ahead of the 2025–2026 MLS NEXT season. Known as “YoungPep” in football circles, Ncube joins the youth club after a successful spell at North Star Naturals, where he gained recognition for his tactical skills and ability to develop young players.
Club President George Gjokaj expressed confidence in Ncube’s fit with the team’s vision. He said, “His international perspective, dedication to player development, and leadership qualities align perfectly with the future we’re building here.”
Ncube’s journey began in Zimbabwe, where he was born and raised. Over the years, he has steadily advanced through coaching roles in the United States. His reputation combines football intelligence, humility, and a strong commitment to nurturing talent.
In a recent interview, Ncube shared his excitement about the new role. He stated, “I’m truly honored and excited to join FC Hudson Valley MLS NEXT as head coach. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a club that shares my passion for developing players and competing at the highest level.”
He reflected on his departure from North Star Naturals. “Leaving was not easy. It’s a place where I built great memories and saw tremendous growth in players. I’m grateful to everyone who supported me there. Now, I’m focused on bringing the same energy and vision to FC Hudson Valley.”
Ncube is known for his high-pressing style and detailed approach to coaching. Inside sources say he has already started scouting top talents and is organizing summer development camps alongside new training programs.
His success is celebrated back in Zimbabwe. A former mentor in Harare remarked, “YoungPep’s rise shows Zimbabwean coaches can succeed on major stages.”
FC Hudson Valley aims to make a strong impact in the upcoming MLS NEXT campaign. Ncube’s arrival marks a fresh start and a commitment to growth.
At his unveiling, banners read, “The Valley has a new leader.” The message is clear: Samkeliso Ncube’s leadership is just beginning.
