ICYMI: Zim Graduates Set To Get Permanent SA Visas

It has been announced by the South African government that foreign students graduating from its universities in critical skills areas now qualify for permanent and long term work permits so that their talents can be retained.
Mr Malusi Gigaba, Home Affairs Minister mentioned it during an address at the International Students Conference in Cape Town recently saying that International students are particularly important to countries because, having obtained your qualifications here or at least your most recent qualification, this brain waste can be avoided.
He also said that: It is for these reasons that the National Development Plan recommended a long term work visa be offered to international students upon graduation. Accordingly, I directed officials in the Department of Home Affairs to recommend options to make it easier for international students in critical skills areas to remain in South Africa after graduating .
