Jah Prayzah Postpones US Tour Dates Due to Visa Application Hurdle

Zimbabwean music sensation Jah Prayzah has announced the postponement of his highly anticipated shows in the United States, leaving many fans disappointed. The shows, scheduled for Washington DC on July 4 and Dallas, Texas on July 5, were part of his ongoing Ndini Mukudzeyi World Tour.

In an emotional statement shared with fans, Jah Prayzah expressed his deep regret over the last-minute changes. He explained that the postponement was due to a technical glitch encountered during his visa application process.

“I write this with a heavy heart,” Jah Prayzah said. “I was ready and excited to meet you in Washington DC and Dallas. I know many of you had already made travel plans, booked hotels, and secured your tickets, and I was just as ready to give you the show you deserve.”

The musician revealed that he and his team had attended their scheduled visa appointments earlier in the month. However, a technical error on their application forms prevented the process from moving forward. This setback forced them to restart the visa application process, but unfortunately, no new appointment slots were available in time for the tour dates.

Jah Prayzah also addressed speculation suggesting that his visas had been denied, clarifying that this was not the case. “The U.S. Consulate was supportive and tried to assist in every possible way they could, but some things are simply beyond anyone’s control,” he explained. “I know that some have been trying to push the narrative that visas were denied. That is not true, but unfortunately, it changes nothing at this point.”

The artist extended his gratitude to his US-based promoters, DJ Nhunzi and Xcelerate, for their dedication and hard work in trying to make the shows happen.

For fans who had already purchased tickets, Jah Prayzah assured them that full refunds would be processed. He promised to announce new dates soon, stating that he remains committed to fulfilling the US leg of his world tour.

Despite the setback, Jah Prayzah confirmed that his scheduled shows in Canada would go ahead as planned. He will perform in Edmonton on July 11 and in Toronto on July 12.

The postponement comes as a disappointment to many US-based Zimbabwean fans and music lovers who were eagerly waiting to see the star live. However, Jah Prayzah’s assurance of future dates and his commitment to making it up to his fans have been met with understanding and support.

As the Ndini Mukudzeyi World Tour continues, fans in Canada and other parts of the world can look forward to seeing the award-winning artist perform his hits that have captured audiences globally.
