Khwezi ZW Set to Release New Track Masibambaneni

AFRO-SOUL artist Khwezi ZW, known for his deeply personal and introspective music, is set to release his latest track, Masibambaneni, this Friday. The song is part of his upcoming project, Echoes of Silence, supported by the British Council, the Embassy of Switzerland, and Kay Media Africa.
Khwezi told NewsDay Life & Style that Masibambaneni is rooted in storytelling and healing. He emphasized the song carries a powerful message on mental health and emotional well-being. “Talking it through can help… depression can be snuffed out if we spread love and compassion more,” he said. The track encourages open conversation around social issues and personal struggles, staying true to Khwezi ZW’s approach of tackling real-life issues through honest storytelling.
A highlight of this release is Khwezi’s collaboration with the Matopo High School Choir. Reflecting on the partnership, he said, “Matopo is a hub of musical talent. It is where I was groomed musically for six years. It felt like going back home and working with my family.” He added that his connection to the school runs deep, noting, “My first vocal coach, Khanyisile Madonko, was a student there. Matopo shaped so much of who I am as an artiste.”
Through Masibambaneni, Khwezi ZW continues to carve out a space in Zimbabwe’s music scene that is raw, reflective, and transformational. The track highlights the healing power of music and community, reinforcing his reputation as an artist committed to meaningful storytelling.
Masibambaneni promises to resonate with listeners seeking music that speaks to real-life experiences while promoting empathy, dialogue, and emotional healing.
