Rapper Holy Ten Checks Into Rehabilitation Following Public Controversy

Zimbabwean rapper Holy Ten, real name Mukudzei Chitsama, has announced that he is entering a rehabilitation centre in South Africa after a turbulent week marked by erratic behaviour and declining health. The 26-year-old musician made the decision as part of a personal effort to confront his struggles and set a positive example for young people facing similar challenges.
“I have decided to go and check myself into a rehabilitation centre, one of the best in the world, to show the youth that this is your way if this is your problem,” Holy Ten said in a statement on Wednesday. He acknowledged that rehab is a difficult step, especially since he is not using illegal substances, but stressed the importance of professional support.
Holy Ten, who has previously consumed large amounts of alcohol, admitted that he once believed he could manage his habits without assistance. “I thought I could just conquer it easily. But the same alcohol has destroyed others before – their health, their families, their talents and their lives. So I’ve made this bold decision to get professional help,” he said.
The announcement follows a series of controversies earlier this week, including threats directed at members of Zimbabwe’s First Family and security services. The rapper, known for his alignment with the ruling party, has issued a public apology to the Mnangagwa family.
“I remain apologetic for everything I said. Please forgive me Zimbabwe, please forgive me my Commander-in-Chief, my president, my brothers (Sean and Collins), my mother who is in a state of pain and disbelief, my wife who has been watching all this happening and trying to help me and our political party,” he stated.
Holy Ten’s decision to seek rehabilitation marks a significant moment in his career and personal life, signaling a commitment to recovery, accountability, and responsible influence over his fans.
