Togarepi Chivaviro Celebrates Fifth Track to Hit One Million YouTube Views

Multi-award-winning gospel artist Togarepi Chivaviro has reached a major milestone as his song Hamupererwe surpassed one million views on YouTube. This marks the fifth track from his repertoire to achieve this feat, following the success of Ebenezer-Tiri Munyasha, Maranatha, Apo Mambo Apinda, and Handinyarare. The song, released in 2019 from the album Excellent, continues to resonate with fans both locally and abroad. Chivaviro expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting the significance of digital platforms in connecting artists to audiences worldwide.
“It is an honour to realise that there is so much support for our music out there,” Chivaviro said. “My main aim is to spread the gospel to all corners, so this is a testament to a mission accomplished.” He noted that reaching a million views is particularly meaningful for artists of his generation, whose followers are not always active on digital platforms. By achieving this milestone, Chivaviro has demonstrated that gospel music can thrive online, bridging the gap between generations and spreading spiritual messages further than ever before.
Several of his other tracks have also performed strongly online. Ebenezer-Tiri Munyasha remains an all-time favourite, accumulating over six million views. Songs like Mhepo Inoperekedza, Tariro Yangu, and Famba Usacheuke have all surpassed 500,000 views, confirming the consistent appeal of his music. These numbers reflect both the loyalty of his fan base and the growing global reach of Zimbabwean gospel music.
Chivaviro recently released his 21st album, It Is Well, which is performing well on local gospel charts. The album reinforces his position as one of Zimbabwe’s leading gospel musicians, blending inspiring messages with melodies that resonate across age groups. With multiple tracks achieving digital milestones, Togarepi Chivaviro continues to demonstrate that faith-driven music can thrive in the modern era while maintaining its spiritual impact.
