Tinashe Mutarisi takes a dig at prophet Madungwe for failing to predict corona virus outbreak
Tinashe Mutarisi, the owner of Nash paints had no kind words for religious leaders for failing to foresee the outbreak of the corona virus. He said it amazed him that the self styled “heavenly army commander” prophet Madungwe had not seen such a global pandemic looming ahead. On his previous heavenly visit Madungwe claimed to have had a blast with heroes of faith such as Abraham. He said they had had a braai and consumed beef in heaven. Mutarisi was perplexed as to the reason why Madungwe had missed the fact that a global disaster was on its way given his spiritual revelations.
Most people were quick to point out Madungwe might have missed out on the prophecy as he was busy with braai festivities in heaven.
Zim prophets have a reputation of saying and doing rather odd things. Madungwe is no exception.
The corona virus has ravished most parts of the world and Africa has not been spared. South Africa, Tanzania and Namibia have all been affected. Trade has diminished as most businesses had to shut down with people being advised to self quarantine.
Madungwe might have failed to foresee this pandemic but he certainly remains one of the most talked about religious figures in the country.
