- He was on born the 13th of August 1978
- He launched his professional career at Jomo Cosmos in South Africa in 1999
- In 2001, he was voted PSL Player of the Season and PSL Players’ Player of the Season in South Africa.
- In 2001 he left for Europe to join Switzerland team , Grasshopper Zurich
- In 2002 he moved to Auxerre
- On 2006 he was signed to Portsmouth for £4.1 million after a recommendation from Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger .
- After his Portsmouth signed he also played for Manchester City, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers before returning to Portsmouth in 2011
