Aaliyah Westerhof to walk the ramp in USA.
Aaliyah Westerhof, the daughter of former model and HIV activist Tendai Westerhof and coach Clemens is set to represent the country in the USA soon. This comes after having been crowned 2nd princess during the Miss schools contest about two months ago.
The beautiful and slender 16 year old, who is currently doing her O level has all hopes pinned on her of winning the contest. She also expressed confidence at the prospect of coming back home with a prize. She said, “I am excited to represent Zimbabwe, as it is a pegeant to empower the girl child. I am so grateful to all my sponsors and I am optimistic that I will not come back home empty handed”.
The young beauty, who has followed in her mother’s footsteps has already received endorsements for her wadrobe from Brands for less. She is however still looking for sponsorship for her national dress to be wonat the event. The national dress must highlight Zimbabwean tradition and culture.
Aaliyah entered her first ever peageant at only 13. She won and was crowded miss Beit. In spite of having inherited her mother’s good looks and runway skills, Aaliyah also got sporting genes from her father. She has won several sporting accolades including being named woman of the match at the Dairyboard rugby schools festival in 2017.
