Chadya eyes best eleven spot

Ngezi Platinum Stars first choice goalkeeper Nelson Chadya says he is aiming to be part of the best eleven footballers on the domestic front at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Coming on the back of two clean sheets against newboys Tenax and Manica Diamonds both played at the Baobab Stadium the young goalie is hoping to keep the momentum and help his team win games.
“It’s good that I have managed to keep two clean sheets in a row and I am hoping to extend that record as the league progresses. I will keep on working hard and help my team achieve its goals. My aim is to be on the calendar (Soccer Stars of the Year) at the end of this campaign but that can only happen if I continue to produce good statistics on the field of play,” said Chadya.
Chadya, one of the longest serving members of the club since joining the Mhondoro Ngezi based outfit in 2016 when the team got promotion into the topflight league, has been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the country over the years.
Ngezi Platinum have over the years seen themselves welcoming quite a sizeable number of new goalkeepers but Chadya has remained steadfast and has been a cut above the rest as he has managed to challenge for the number 1 spot in between the sticks.
However, should the goalie negotiates his way onto the country’s best eleven calendar he will join an elite league of goalkeepers who include Japhet Mparutsa, Gift Muzadzi, Tafadzwa Dube, Aerial Sibanda and Energy Murambadoro to name a few, who have made the Soccer Stars of the Year list.
