RISING Model and Entrepreneur Christine Ngoshi Champions Women’s Empowerment in Zimbabwe

Christine Ngoshi, 22, is using her growing influence in pageantry to advocate for women’s empowerment and combat gender-based violence in Zimbabwe. As the founder of Supporting Abusive Free Environment (SAFE), Ngoshi focuses on giving a voice to women and children affected by abuse.
“I grew up in a society where violence was the norm,” Ngoshi said. “Competing in pageants is not just about wearing the crown for me. It is about standing up for those who have been silenced and creating a better future.”
Ngoshi has won several titles, including Miss Zambia Zimbabwe 2024, Miss Universal Woman Zimbabwe 2024 second runner-up, Miss Simba Bhora 2025, and Miss Elite Global Zimbabwe 2025. At the latter event, she represented Zimbabwe in India and earned the Miss Congeniality title. She is now preparing to compete in the first-ever Miss Petite Global Zimbabwe, scheduled for January 10, 2026, in Harare.
“Being selected to compete in this historic event is such an honour,” she said. “But my goal is bigger than the crown. Miss Petite Global is a platform for my voice to be heard, especially in the fight against gender-based violence and child marriages.”
Beyond pageantry, Ngoshi engages in philanthropy. She recently donated blankets, mosquito nets, and bedding to children at Jairos Jiri Association. On September 27, 2025, she plans to visit I Am Mbare to donate food and clothing to children and women affected by early child marriages.
“I have the less privileged at heart,” she said. “When I give, I give not because I have too much, but because I know every child deserves warmth, dignity, and love.”
Ngoshi encourages Zimbabweans to support her mission. “This is not a fight I can win alone,” she said. “SAFE is about community. Anyone who is willing to stand with us is welcome, because together we can create a better Zimbabwe.”
As she prepares for the Miss Petite Global stage, Ngoshi says her most important achievement will not be a crown, but the social change she inspires.
