Tadzie Madzima Honoured with 2025 World of Difference Award in Greece

Tadzie Madzima, a multi award winning life and career coach, has been named a 2025 World of Difference Award recipient by The International Alliance for Women. The ceremony took place at the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Centre in Greece. The honour places her among global changemakers from 27 countries across six continents who are driving progress for women through leadership and innovation.

She received the award in the NGO and non profit category for her work in the economic empowerment of women. She joined 43 other recipients representing countries that include Sri Lanka, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Paraguay, Colombia, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Brazil.

TIAW is a global charitable foundation that supports the advancement of women. Its president Donna Meredith said women change communities when they are empowered. She said the organisation recognises leaders like Madzima who create opportunities for women across generations.

This recognition builds on Madzima’s growing influence as one of Africa’s leading voices in youth development, purpose driven leadership and gender equality. Last year, she won Social Entrepreneur of the Year at the Zimbabwe Community News Community Trailblazers Awards. She also earned two honours in the Woman of Impact category at the Zimbabwe CEOs Network Women Leadership Awards.

Her recognition by TIAW adds to previous international honours. She is a two time recipient of the Women Changing the World Awards, a platform created to highlight women who deliver meaningful community impact. The awards were founded by Tererai Trent, an internationally respected Zimbabwean scholar and humanitarian with more than 18 years of experience in programme and policy evaluation.

Madzima has also been honoured by the Women Economic Forum as an Iconic Leader Creating a Better World for All. The award, presented in Lagos, recognises leaders advancing gender equity, innovation and sustainable community transformation.

Through her organisation Ignite Youth, she has mentored and trained more than 30 000 young people in Zimbabwe. Her programmes focus on leadership development, innovation, career guidance and access to opportunities for young women. She prioritises giving young women the skills and agency they need to shape their futures and contribute to their communities.

Her global leadership experience covers advocacy, strategic communication, social impact innovation and multi stakeholder engagement across Africa, Europe and North America.

Madzima said the award strengthens her belief in purpose led leadership. She said communities transform when women and youth are given opportunities. She called the recognition a reminder to keep uplifting young people, especially young women, so they can claim dignity, opportunity and a future that values their potential.
