Popular businessman Tinashe Mutarisi has addressed his followers to explain why he decided to shut down Nash TV, stating that the platform had nothing new left to offer. He took to Facebook to share his thoughts, emphasizing that the venture had reached its natural conclusion.
“I know most of you want to know why we are closing Nash TV. I believe we have done our best. There is nothing new we can offer you guys right now. I don’t want to keep holding on, because I think everything we did is what we wanted to do,” Mutarisi said. “This is the best we can offer.”
Mutarisi explained that Nash TV was originally created to support artists during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a platform when live performances and other opportunities were limited. Now that the pandemic is over, he believes the channel has served its purpose.
“The reason why we created Nash TV was because of COVID. Now that COVID is over, we need to call it quits,” he said.
He also highlighted the financial challenges of running a media platform, noting that the industry is demanding and costly. “The media industry is not easy, and it’s financially draining. We have really done our best. The main reason is that we have done our best, that’s it,” Mutarisi added.
Regarding the artists signed under Nash TV, he reassured fans that all performers, particularly the top four—Nisha Ts, Saintfleow, Ninety6, and Raymer—remain secure. Some managers who previously worked with Nash TV will continue managing the artists, ensuring their careers are unaffected by the closure.
“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with. This journey has been incredible, and we’ve had the honor of collaborating with amazing artists. The decision to close Nash TV comes from a place of fulfillment, knowing that we’ve done our best and made a meaningful impact. Thank you for being part of this journey,” Mutarisi wrote.
The closure marks the end of an era for Nash TV, which played a key role in promoting artists during one of the most challenging periods for the entertainment industry. Mutarisi’s message underscores a commitment to transparency and care for the artists who contributed to the channel’s success.
