Abducted child found in Cape Town

The story of one Andy Mandara is a reminder that children are at risk of abduction and parents should keep a close eye on them at all times. Andy Mandara was abducted sometime last week as he was playing with his friends.

He alleges that the men who lured him promised to buy him biscuits and told him to get into their car. He complied and they took off with him.

Andy said he was smuggled into South Africa and after their arrival he was locked in a shack. It was only at the time that the armed men who were guarding him left that he broke open the door and escaped. Andy was found walking barefoot and hungry by some local residents of Cape Town and taken to security personnel.

He was later taken to a community where a lot of Zimbabweans reside and his story was shared with the rest of the world. Andy Muridzo clearly stated his father’s name who he is named after, his grandfather Pamhi Mandara and his teacher Mrs Burutwa.

The story is a wake up call that guardians should always keep an eye on their children. The purpose for his abduction is uknown.
