Invisibility ties itself around us
connecting us
the solitary confines of my mind wake me up
to calls from your solitude
we dream ourselves to this place
surrounded by the invisibility of our dreams
the needs of a better world calling us
keeping us awake
the travels we have to take to keep our lives safe can wait
bordering on heaven’s honour we make promises
to honour each
to keep each other safe
to keep the world from reaching in
we smile and feed off our laughter
and dance to our music,
the beating of our hearts
here, we are hidden from view
