CBZ Youth Entrepreneurship Programme attracts attention.
CBZ in patnership with Empowered Life Trust (ELT) has once again called for applications for its Youth Entrepreneurship programme (YEP). The initiative seeks to change the lives of aspiring young entrepreneurs by giving them the financial headstart to their businesses.
The programme is done on an annual basis with this year being its fourth successive year running. It is indeed a life changing initiative by the prominent Zimbabwean bank. The programme has so far seen the training of 3000 youths and 400 businesses being opened. A stand out feature is that one of the previous benefactors was featured in Forbes magazine.
YEP 2019 has a two pronged approach. There is provision for Start ups, those business idea models for one year. The winners of the category will be given rtgs 12 000. The second category is that of Established businesses, those that have a model of a maximum of 3 years. The winners will be awarded rtgs 10 000 in this category.
All applicants will undergo a one month online training course and business coaching with success coach Jonah Mungashi. 200 successful applicants will be selected to attend a Northern region workshop in Harare. A further 200 applicants will be selected to attend a workshop in Bulawayo.The initiative will see the aspiring youths networking with other like minded entrepreneurs.
20 successful participants will compete at the YEP boot camp at a life adventure site to be advised and have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in front of judges. The 10 best entrants will the be selected and receive their massive prizes at an awards ceremony to be held early 2020.
