Two students from NUST university receive scholarship to study at Oxford university.

Andile Dube and Cephas Svove are the latest beneficiaries of the 2020 Zimbabwe Rhodes Scholarship. The duo will study at Oxford university next year. The two wizkids are students at National University of Science and Technology (NUST).

Dube, a final year medical student at NUST,will study musculoskeletal science with a special focus on trauma management while actuarial science student Svosve will read for a master of science degree in the field of mathematical and computational finance at the University of Oxford. Nation secretary for the Rhodes Scholarship in Zimbabwe, Tariro Makadzange confirmed the news. She stated,”We completed the selection on Saturday. The candidates were exceptional. We shortlisted and interviewed ten candidates”.

The duo will join an elite alumni network of Zimbabwean students who studied at the prestigious Oxford university including James Manyika, Cyril Ruwende, Arthur Mutambara and other global representatives including leading lawyers, writers,president’s and business leaders among others .
