5 celebrity deaths that rocked Zimbabwe in 2020

This year has been horrific for some families as they had to deal with the loss of loved ones. There were several celebrities that also succumbed to various ailments. Here are some of the deaths that rocked the nation in 2020.

1 Zororo Makamba
The son of business mogul James Makamba died early this year from covid 19. His death tore apart the media fraternity.The bubbly and intelligent media personality had just come in from New York when he met his untimely death. He was the first confirmed case of covid 19 death in the country.

2 Prince
Prince Musarurwa had a very promising career in the music industry. His soulful jazzy tunes made audiences crazy. He was robbed of his life at a very tender age. Prince died of cancer and left behind a legacy that most young people will have to emulate. Pay Chihera dedicated a song in his honour.

3 Perrence Shiri
The army big whip died of what was alleged to be covid 19 symptoms. His death was totally unforseen.

4 Itai Dzamara
The young activist succumbed to colon cancer. He passed on just as he was scheduled to undergo a major surgery. Dzamara became vocal after the kidnapping of his brother Patson who has not been located ever since he was allegedly abducted years ago. Unconfirmed reports claim that Itai was poisoned in prison during one of his arrests.

5 Scara
Winky D’s drummer and an active member of the vigilance band Scara died a few weeks ago. The young, talented visionary was a people’s person and his funeral drew multitudes of celebrities who came to pay their last respects in his honour
